Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Architect to spearhead our architectural endeavours as part of our world-class Product & Technology group.

In this pivotal role, you’ll unify our diverse architectural domains and ensure they meet top industry standards. You’ll lead our architects and collaborate with product and engineering teams to set the stage for technical leadership and propel our tech forward.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Leadership

  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in architectural design and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management & Product Design to ensure cohesive and holistic architectural approaches.
  • Oversee our technical architecture and align it with our business and technological goals. Lead our team of architects across all domains to establish and enforce pragmatic technical approaches to solving real business problems.

Design and Innovation:

  • Lead the design of our system architecture with a keen focus on scalability, security, and performance. Your role is crucial in introducing innovative practices and technologies within our tech stack.

Collaborative Team Leadership:

  • Forge strong connections with engineering teams, product managers, product designers and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive development and implementation of projects.

Mentorship and Technical Guidance:

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Solution Evaluation:

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance our engineering capabilities and improve efficiency.
     

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure architectural integrity and compliance with quality standards, including conducting code reviews and architectural assessments.

Risk Management:

  • Proactively identify technical risks and devise strategies to ensure the reliability and security of our systems.

Qualifications & Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in software architecture and engineering, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
    Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
