The newly-formed Language team, part of our Scale function within Product and Brand Design, is dedicated to delivering exceptional value to customers by ensuring that all Personio content is available in their language, with the right level of quality and conveying the intended tone. We aim to address the user's need for a seamless, globally accessible product that is simple, functional and human.
As a Language Manager, you’ll be accountable for leading quality management and improvement initiatives for all languages, developing a tiered approach to quality management and leveraging cutting edge technologies to scale our output. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that our customers in your native market experience our product in a way that feels personalized and resonates with local nuances.
Role Responsibilities: What you'll do
Quality Management:
Develop, implement, and manage global quality initiatives for all Personio languages, such as product audits and content scoring
Own feedback loops involving customers, internal stakeholders and external suppliers to improve user experience
Leverage technology, such as LLMs, to deliver quality at scale
Quality Assurance:
Be the internal voice of our German users, driving understanding and awareness of their needs
Safeguard and improve the user experience for your market through language
Define and instill linguistic standards for German in Personio, through style guides, terminology glossaries and tone of voice documentation
Execution:
Write, translate, proofread and edit content as necessary
Role Requirements: What you need to succeed
Native-level fluency in German, and you are fluent in English
Significant experience in a similar quality management role
You have worked as a UX writer and/or translator
You have a track record of delivering exceptional results using quality management strategies
Proficiency in localization tooling, such as Phrase Strings and Phrase TMS, and technologies like machine translation and large language models
