Overview
Holcim Solutions and Products US, LLC (“Holcim”) is hiring a Lead National Technical Manager for Building Codes.  This position is responsible for maintaining, creating, and managing public-facing technical literature, training materials, and communications for Holcim brands related to building codes. The Lead National Technical Manager also coordinates the activities of other National Technical Managers and promotes cross-functional development of solutions, products, and testing programs to help Holcim create and maintain a market-leading portfolio of products and services in a competitive environment. *This position is based in our headquarters in Nashville, TN.*


Responsibilities:

  • Create and update internal and external codes-related documents including Guides, Details, and other technical documents in response to changing market conditions, codes or regulatory updates, product changes, and periodic reviews;
  • Support the new product process as required to determine impact due to codes and related testing as needed;
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current building code requirements, adoptions, and changes;
  • Review and implement changes, training, and communications to the business related to code changes, competitive comparisons, adoptions, or other changes in the industry;
  • Take the lead in pursuing competitive opportunities by participating in regular field touchpoints with field-based teammates and sales reps, and by facilitating working groups, product development, and testing programs;
  • Act as a subject matter expert on third-party testing agencies, code adoptions, and related subject matter and respond to sales reps and regional technical questions;
  • Review Marketing literature and website content updates for technical accuracy and clarity;
  • Present technical training on code requirements related to the business;
  • Compare and determine differences between warrantable applications and code requirements;
  • Understand Holcim’s strategic direction and align team activities and metrics to execute and deliver against them;
  • Create and foster a culture of customer-centric, action-oriented, collaborative teammates;
  • Participate in corporate initiatives as assigned to enhance company capabilities, performance, and efficiency;
  • Collaborate effectively across functional departments (including Marketing, Sales, Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Field Services) to implement process and system improvements that improve customer satisfaction, simplify work processes, and drive breakthrough growth.


Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • BS/BA in engineering or related field.
       
  • Experience:
    • Minimum FIVE (5) years of relevant experience;
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with customers and teammates;
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Vault, CRM, and Adobe software is preferred;
    • A high level of intellectual and emotional intelligence is required;
    • Demonstrated proficiency in process development, implementation, and improvement.
