The Opportunity

As an Account Executive you play a key role in Cognizant’s growth and are responsible for rapid business expansion through new logo acquisition and within existing clients. 
You are responsible for the growth, health, and prospects of the client relationships.

Your key success factors: Ability to hunt for new business, consult your clients and manage excellent relationships with your stakeholders. Additionally, you have a deep understanding of IT tools, systems and solutions. 
Your mission is to win large deals (10 Mio€ +) and open doors to form new client relationships. You will identify and forge partnerships and expand Cognizant's client portfolio. 

Identifying new opportunities is one of your strengths, building and expanding the pipeline. You proactively approach new clients, make proposals, offer solutions to help achieve their business goals while also increasing company revenue. 
We trust you to be the expert in your industry sector, Banking & Financial Services, with a strong and wide network and a deep understanding of specific challenges your industry vertical experiences or will be exposed to soon, enabling you to propose solutions, open new doors and nourish your client relationship. 

Key responsibilities

You will develop key insights into prospective client’s organization structure, business and IT strategy

You will build and manage relationships across various levels in the client organization, particularly in the C- Level/ Executive Management Level and create a stakeholder map to position Cognizant team and senior management 

In order to develop solutions and a business plan, you collaborate with multiple service lines, innovation teams and business teams across Cognizant 

To increase the visibility of Cognizant in the account relationship, you have regular meetings and interface with the clients’ decision makers and influencers 

You understand the customer’s specific business needs and apply service/ process knowledge to meet those needs, additionally, you identify strategic initiatives that help client’s business to achieve their goals

Preferred experience

You have significant experience in a client facing sales role, gained in IT Consulting/Services within the Banking & Financial Services sector in the DACH Region

You pride yourself with a proven track record of winning large deals 

Your hunger for sales and successful deal closing drives and motivates you and distinguishes you from others in the field 

You are an outstanding communicator and have cross-cultural skills combined with a visionary attitude, exceptional intellectual and analytical curiosity

German and English have been your working language for the past years
