Wir haben mit Tomorrow Großes vor! Unsere Vision: Nachhaltige Finanzen raus aus der Nische holen und in die Mitte der Gesellschaft bringen. Das ist verdammt viel Arbeit – also packen wir es an.

Als Werkstudent*in Webentwicklung (Frontend) bist du Teil eines unserer cross-funktioalen Tech Teams. Du unterstützt uns bei diversen Frontend-Projekten, einschließlich unserer Webseite und den in unsere Apps integrierten WebViews. Hierbei arbeitest du eng mit Kolleg*innen aus den Bereichen Frontend, Design und Backend zusammen.


Zu deinen Aufgaben gehören:

  • Deine Hauptaufgabe ist die Wartung und Optimierung unserer Frontend-Projekte.

  • Darüber hinaus unterstützt du bei der Gestaltung unseres Design-Systems und bei der Verbesserung von UI-Komponenten. 

  • Du unterstützt das Web-Team bei verschiedenen Aufgaben und hast die Chance, deine Fähigkeiten weiterzuentwickeln. Dazu gehören unter anderem die Kommunikation und Abstimmung mit anderen Teams sowie die praktische Umsetzung im Code.

Was Du mitbringen solltest

  • Du befindest dich im Studium der (Wirtschafts-/Medien-) Informatik oder einer vergleichbaren Studienrichtung an einer deutschen Hochschule. 

  • Du konntest bereits erste relevante Praxiserfahrungen sammeln.

  • Du hast ein Auge für Details und Freude daran, Designs zum Leben zu erwecken.

  • Du möchtest unsere Webprodukte schneller und für alle zugänglich gestalten.

  • Du hast Grundkenntnisse in semantischen HTML, modernem CSS und JavaScript, Tools wie Git, Node.js und npm sind für dich keine Fremdwörter. 

  • Wir arbeiten im Frontend mit React, Storybook und Next.js, Vorerfahrungen mit diesen Tools sind keine Voraussetzung, aber ein Plus.

  • Du hast als Werkstudent*in mindestens 15 Stunden/Woche Zeit uns längerfristig zu unterstützen.

  • Du kommunizierst sicher auf Englisch.

  • Du stehst hinter der Idee, Geld als Hebel für positiven Wandel zu nutzen und brennst darauf, mit uns zusammen ein besseres Morgen für alle zu gestalten.

Vergütung
14,50 Euro / Stunde

The role

We have big plans for Tomorrow. Our vision: Establish sustainable finance at the heart of society. That's a hell of a lot of work - so let's get started.

As our Working Student Web Development (Frontend) (f/m/x), you will be part of one of our cross-functional tech teams. You will support us with various front-end projects, including our website and the WebViews integrated in our apps. To do this, you will work closely alongside colleagues from the Front-End, Design and Back-End departments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Your main task will be the maintenance and optimization of our front-end projects.

  • In addition, you will support us with developing our design system and improving UI components. 

  • You will support the web team with different tasks and be given the opportunity to further develop your skills. This includes communicating and coordinating with other teams and the practical implementation in code.

What we're looking for

  • You are currently completing studies in (business/media) informatics or a comparable field of study at a German university.

  • You have already gained your first practical experience.

  • You have an eye for detail and really enjoy bringing designs to life.

  • You are enthusiastic about making our web products faster and accessible to everyone.

  • You have a basic knowledge of semantic HTML, modern CSS and JavaScript, and tools such as Git, Node.js and npm aren’t foreign to you either. 

  • In the front-end we work with React, Storybook and Next.js, so prior experience with these tools is not essential but it would be a plus.

  • As a working student, you have at least 15 hours/week to support us long-term.

  • You can communicate confidently in English.

  • You support the idea to create a better future for everyone by using money as a force for good.

Working from home and mobile work are therefore integral parts of our remote-friendly work culture. At the same time, we believe in the huge advantages of meeting up and working together in person. Our fantastic office in Hamburg is the perfect space for this and available to you any time. The amount of hours you spend on-site to suit you and your role at Tomorrow is something you can define with your team. For organizational reasons, we are only looking for people who live in Germany for this position.
