About the role:

We are seeking a bright and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer / Developer to join our Global Technology team. Your role will be developing highly scalable, and fault tolerant cloud infrastructure developed on AWS to support our exciting and growing product catalogue.

In this role you will design and implement solutions from the ground up to optimise our architecture. It will challenge your problem-solving capabilities, communication skills, decision making ability and stretch your creative mind. As a Senior Software Engineer / Developer, you will:

• Independently solve problems and come up with innovative and more effective processes and with the appropriate technology.
• Write efficient and maintainable code using .NET Core / C#, Angular, ReactJS.
• Seek to tie stories back to user value & impact for our internal users and clients
• Be comfortable working in an agile/scrum environment and communicate well with all members of the team.
• Independently solve problems and come up with innovative and more effective processes and with the appropriate technology.

You’re good at:

• Proven experience of .NET Core and developing solutions in C#.
• Experience working within a team developing software using agile principles.
• Experience in MS-SQL Server, MySQL and/or MongoDB.
• Building strong and trustworthy relationships with customers and internal teams. 

You might also have:

• Working knowledge of PHP, ReactJS, Angular, and/or Node.js.
• Experience of using Atlassian Confluence and Jira.
• Exposure to modern continuous integration and DevOps processes.
• A desire to work in a global team environment.

You should know:

• This role is a remote UK based role in the UK, or if you prefer a hybrid working environment we can offer that too with collaboration time in our Derby, Fleet or London City offices.
• You must have the right to work in the UK
• At times flexibility to working hours is beneficial as you work across global teams.
