Summary:
This role is responsible for driving the strategic direction and execution of marketing initiatives and processes for our Elastomeric Materials Solutions Division.
This role will be reporting to the Sr. Vice President and General Manager of the EMS Division.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the development and execution of organic and inorganic growth strategies that deliver sales and earnings growth for the division, including identification and execution of M&A and alliances needed to achieve strategic objectives. Ensures R&D programs are well aligned with customer and market needs and there is clear resource alignment and prioritization between marketing and technology groups. Creates annual plans that detail division's value propositions for our target growth markets, applications, new product development, service models and market channel(s).
- Leads and manages the marketing function, including market development, product management, marketing communications and technical support. Ensures the use of rigorous marketing tools and best practices.
- Works closely with the Product Line and Regional Sales Directors to ensure alignment of resources focused on key customer engagements with strategic marketing initiatives.
- Responsible for maintaining a highly skilled and motivated team of marketing and technical service and development professionals. Ensures training and development of employees.
- Actively participates as a member of the division's Senior Leadership Team.
- Partners with SVP/GM in the alignment of division's strategies with Rogers corporate objectives and cross business unit initiatives, and in the communication to the progress of those plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Marketing or related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
- 10 + years of related technical marketing experience in a business-to-business relationship
- 7 + years of leadership experience managing a staff of professionals.
- Marketing experience must include working in business units with annual sales of $100 million or more.
- Demonstrated success with formal marketing systems and processes such as strategic planning, forecasting, competitive analysis, market research, new product development and launch, marketing communication, and value pricing.
- Experience working with international customers, including regular contact and travel to Europe and Asia.
- MBA with Marketing Concentration not required but preferred.
