About the role
In this role, you will have a central and highly significant role. You will drive and coordinate projects that involve a multitude of functions and processes within the company with the aim of maintaining, developing, and improving. As a Senior Project Engineer you are part of and report to the steering group.

Key Responsibilities 
• Coordinate and drive investment projects within Degerfors Operations, primarily maintenance, updating, and development of our high-tech machinery. 
• Lead the CAPEX process (Capital Expenditures = investments) from idea to implementation. 
• Ensure that the department's external Project Leaders have the right skills and meet management's requirements for quality, safety, and sustainability.
 • Compile, prepare, and lead continuous improvement efforts in your department/function. 
• Development of methods, procedures, templates in consultation with the European "CTC" group for project management within Outokumpu.
 • Assist in internal audits.

Qualifications
We are looking for someone with an engineering degree, such as mechanical engineering, electrical/automation, metallurgy. In addition, you also have education in and working experience from project management. If you have expertise in mechanical construction, strength calculations, or the Project system Wave, it is a plus.
As a person, you are trustworthy and easily build relationships, enjoying networking with colleagues, customers, and partners. Leading others comes naturally to you, and in your senior position, you feel confident being a driving force in parallel projects and in an international environment. You are a good administrator, and structure, order, and tidiness are key for you. Communicating in both Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, is something you are comfortable with, and you have good system knowledge.
