For our Global Strategy and Transformation team we are looking for a Global Strategic Planning and M&A Analyst. The person who joins us will be responsible for ensuring the adequate evaluation and follow-up of the Avolta's portfolio of investments opportunities for achievement of maximum value and the timely execution of Mergers & Acquisitions projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Planning/Business Planning

 

  • Contribute to the assessment of new strategic opportunities within initiatives together with Management & Initiative Leader to ensure sustainable growth
  • Effectively monitor initiatives and liaise with other departments to solve issues, which delay the progress of the strategic initiative’s implementation
  • Provide management with accurate, relevant business analysis to support decision-making and ad-hoc requests and ensure timely and accurate information gathering
  • Perform analysis to evaluate risks or opportunities in relation to strategic and M&A projects; make recommendations to mitigate these risks. Manage and provide financial analysis and decision-making support for investment projects
  • Support in scenario and sensitivity modelling to asses value creation opportunities and potential risks

 

 

M&A Project Delivery Support

 

  • Support the growth strategy of Avolta through active participation in the identification, assessment and execution of potential mergers, acquisitions, investments and joint ventures as well as divestitures by the company
  • Project coordination and overview on the different business streams (Finance, Operations, Legal, Financing and Structuring)
  • Preparation of investment memorandums, valuation of targets / modeling / multiples definition, etc.
  • Risk assessment on proposed transactions
  • Partner with business leaders before, during and after the M&A processes, to ensure the deals make strategic sense, fit with the forward-looking business plans, and are integrated smoothly and fully optimized

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or related discipline, ideally complemented with a Master’s degree
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, in a leading management consultancy (Big-4) or a Finance/Strategy department of a large international company
  • First exposure to the Retail industry is a distinctive advantage
  • Solid knowledge of Corporate Finance, Valuation and General Finance matters
  • A proven track-record in financial modelling in a complex environment and with a high level of attention to details
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills paired with a solution-oriented way of working
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels and across cultures
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English a must, any other language an advantage
  • An enthusiastic, initiative and open-minded personality, reliable and self-driven with can-do attitude
