Job description
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of specific goods or
services for Infineon, working to achieve the best possible results. You will be responsible for developing and executing a sourcing strategy, negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the best-purchased quality and supply chain possible.
In your new role, you will:
As a Procurement Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of specific goods or
services for Infineon, working to achieve the best possible results. You will be responsible for developing and executing a sourcing strategy, negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the best-purchased quality and supply chain possible.
In your new role, you will:
- Manage medium to large volumes to the high complexity of the commodities.
- Coordinate with a cross-functional team to identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Develop and execute an operations plan with yearly goals to inform Infineon’s Management and sites about the planned procurement strategy and main areas of activities.
- Contact internal and external interface partners and suppliers.
- Reporting of monthly costs and risks to have a clear, understandable, and cost-effective regulation among the Infineon community.
- Negotiate global contracts and agreements.
- Actively support local projects.
Your profile
You'll be best equipped for this job if you have:

- University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Technical/Engineering background or similar fields.
- At least 3 year experience as a Category Manager or Strategic Buyer or in a partner function with a high focus on technical issues communicated with suppliers.
- Experience in direct materials procurement.
- Intercultural working experience advantageous.
- Fluency in Hungarian and English.
