Wir suchen einen außerordentlich motivierten LabVIEW control and systems integration engineer (w/m/d) zur Verstärkung unseres Raketenteams für Sonderprojekte. Dies ist eine seltene Gelegenheit, die es Ihnen ermöglicht, an anspruchsvollen Prototyping-Projekten mitzuwirken, die von großen, zeit- und kostenkritischen Testkampagnen unterstützt werden. Ihre Aufgaben

• LabVIEW-Programmierung von maßgeschneiderten Test-, Embedded- und verteilten Steuerungssystemen auf Windows UI-, Echtzeit- und FPGA-Ebene
• Erstellung von TCP/IP- und UDP-Serialisierungs- und Kommunikationsbibliotheken
• Programmierung äußerst robuster, modularer und wiederverwendbarer Codebibliotheken
• Auswahl, Ankopplung, Test und Validierung von DAQ- und Steuerungssystem-Hardware
• Zusammenarbeit mit Ingenieuren zur Erstellung und Erfüllung von Testsystemspezifikationen
• Lesen und Erstellen von Verdrahtungsplänen/Schaltplänen

Ihre Qualifikationen

• Abgeschlossenes Studium in den Bereichen Softwaretechnik, Robotik, Elektronik, Mechatronik, Automatisierungstechnik und/oder einer verwandten Disziplin - ein postgradualer Abschluss ist von Vorteil
• LabVIEW-Schulungen und -Zertifikate (z. B. Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD)-Zertifikat oder LabVIEW-Programmier- und -Diagnoseabzeichen)
• Umfassende Erfahrung in der Programmierung umfangreicher Anwendungen mit LabVIEW von National Instruments auf Windows-, Echtzeit- und FPGA-Plattformen, z. B. cRio, cDaq, sbRio, usw.
• Fähigkeit zur praktischen Arbeit nach den ersten Prinzipien zur Diagnose elektrischer und elektronischer Probleme unter Verwendung gängiger Prüf- und Messgeräte. Theoretische und praktische Problemlösungsansätze sind gleichermaßen geeignet
• Fließende Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (alle alltäglichen Tätigkeiten werden in englischer Sprache ausgeführt)
• Umfassende Erfahrung mit gängigen Sensoren, Messwertgebern und Aktuatoren
• Erfahrung mit dem Design und der Entwicklung von kundenspezifischen RIO Mezzanine-Karten und FPGA-Schnittstellen ist von Vorteil
• Praktische Erfahrung in der Schaltschrankmontage ist von Vorteil
• Ausgeprägtes Querdenken, hohe soziale Intelligenz und die Fähigkeit, Probleme selbstständig und im Team zu lösen
• Bereitschaft zu längeren Reisen zu Test- und Einführungsstandorten

We are looking for an exceptionally motivated LabVIEW control and systems integration engineer (f/m/d) to join our special-projects rocketry team. This is a rare opportunity that will allow you to be involved in demanding prototyping efforts that are supported by major, time-and-cost-critical test campaigns. You will work in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for excellence by creating high-performance engineering solutions while keeping prototyping and production costs at an absolute minimum.

Your Tasks

• LabVIEW programming of bespoke test, embedded and distributed control systems on Windows UI, Real Time and FPGA layers
• Create TCP/IP and UDP serialization and communications libraries
• Program highly robust, modular and reusable code libraries
• Selection, interfacing, testing and validation of DAQ and control system hardware
• Interface with engineers to produce and fulfill test system specifications
• Read and produce wiring/circuit diagrams

Your Qualifications

• Degree in software engineering, robotics, electronic engineering, mechatronics automation and/or related discipline - a postgraduate degree is considered advantageous
• Hold LabVIEW training and certificates (e.g., Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) certificate or LabVIEW Programming and Diagnostic badges)
• Strong experience in programming large scale applications using National Instruments LabVIEW on Windows, Real-time and FPGA platforms e.g. cRio, cDaq, sbRio, etc.
• The ability to work 'hands-on' from first principles to diagnose electrical and electronic issues using common test and measurement equipment. Equally comfortable with theoretical and practical approaches to problem solving
• Fluent oral and written English skills (all day-to-day activities are performed in English)
• Extensive experience with common sensors, transducers and actuators
• Experience with design and development of custom RIO Mezzanine cards and FPGA interfacing is advantageous
• Practical hands on experience in control cabinet assembly is advantageous
• Strong lateral thinking skills, high social intelligence, and the ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel to test- and launch sites for extended periods
