- Work on a globally dispersed team within New Relic Legal primarily focused on corporate governance, corporate development, and M&A.
- Collaborate with and support a wide variety of departments including finance and accounting, marketing, and stock administration.
- Manage the administration of New Relic’s global corporate subsidiaries, including India governance.
- Work closely with our finance team on equity administration.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing corporate communications.
- Evaluate issues from legal and business perspectives with a practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to set, review, and improve policies and workflows for greater efficiency, collaboration, and risk management.
- 7+ years of corporate legal experience, which must include relevant time at a major law firm, with 2+ years of in-house experience (which may include secondments and in-house placements via alternative legal services providers).
- Extensive experience advising on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters
- Excellent written, oral, and negotiation communication skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad range of legal matters.
- Ability to work on your own and prioritize multiple, often competing deliverables while managing expectations meeting deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate effectively and gain trust and confidence with personnel at many different levels.
- Ability to work as a team member of the legal department in a scalable, autonomous and accountable manner, demonstrating flexibility across matter types and time zones.
- Patience, good humor, and the ability to give and receive feedback graciously.
- Active bar license in good standing in the state in which you reside.
- Practice experience in the U.S., U.K., Singapore, or Australia, and secondary bar license in a U.S. or European jurisdiction.
- Understanding of software development, design, or product management processes.
- CIPP/E certification or similar privacy law experience
