We are seeking a Territory Sales Manager for our Companion Animal brand-Highland, IL.  This customer-facing role is responsible for generating sales growth and profit while maintaining budget expectations within your assigned territory.  You will represent Trouw Nutrition USA-Companion Animal as an Ambassador to the company, maintain and strengthen relationships with existing or new customers.  This creates Sales Success!

 About The Role: Driving Sales Excellence

Responsibilities:

  • Implement annual sales plan in assigned territory
  • Develop Account Plans to achieve company budget
  • Adept persuasive selling utilizing sales processes and tools
  • Manage technical issues with customer orders, growth opportunities and payments.  Maintain credit worthiness of all assigned accounts
  • Create value-added linkages with customers and look for operational efficiency for both our customers and Trouw Nutrition- Companion Animal
  • Aid in the development of new products on assigned accounts, while managing and utilizing company resources
  • Assist Marketing in conducting market research on trends and product analysis
  • Provide customer and competitor information to management and complete timeline reports, as needed
  • Attend Trade events

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Animal Science, Business Administration, Chemistry, Biology or a similar field or equivalent experience
  • Strong sales skills with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in a B2B setting
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Willing to travel domestically 50% or less
  • Travel to the corporate office-Highland, IL – 2xs a year
  • Support the geographical regions -Midwest & East – residing in your sales territory (Preferred Illinois and Missouri)
  • Experience with CRM-MS Dynamics 365
  • Experienced user of MS suite Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Power BI
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
  • Project Management Experience, Team skills and Team goals
  • Strong negotiation experience, presentation, Customer contract reviews and collaboration with internal legal partners
