At our location in Viersen, we design, manufacture, and deliver high-quality machinery and equipment to confectionery manufacturers worldwide. Our team consists of around 160 dedicated employees. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our company's operations and drive strategic initiatives. The General Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the business, from production and manufacturing to sales and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or manufacturing, with proven leadership skills and a strategic mindset.
Your impact
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and objectives, including growth targets, market expansion, and operational efficiency improvements
- Operations Management: Oversee all aspects project management, supply chain, production, quality control, and logistics to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products to customers
- Financial Management: Manage the company's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis
- Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, production staff, sales representatives, and administrative personnel
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understand their needs, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and safety protocols to maintain a safe and legal operating environment
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation initiatives, technology adoption, and process improvements to stay competitive and meet evolving market demands
- Reporting and Communication: Report to the Group CEO, provide regular reports to the board, executive team and stakeholders on business performance, challenges, and opportunities
Requirements
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Proven experience in a senior management role, preferably in the production, manufacturing or machinery industry
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Excellent strategic planning and decision-making abilities
- Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting processes
- Knowledge of industry regulations, quality standards, and safety protocols
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated track record of driving business growth and operational excellence
