Das erwartet dich bei uns

Unser Ziel ist es, unseren Kunden kontinuierlich innovative und wertsteigernde Lösungen anzubieten und unsere Position als Experte im Bereich Softwarelösungen für Banken und Fintechs zu festigen und auszubauen. Als Head of Software Engineering wirst du dabei eine Schlüsselrolle spielen, unsere Vision zu realisieren. In dieser Rolle erwartet dich die strategische Planung, Priorisierung, Umsetzung und Überwachung der Softwareentwicklungsprojekte. Du führst unser Entwicklungsteam mit derzeit ca. 20 Developern und wirst eng mit den anderen Abteilungen zusammenarbeiten, um unsere Prozesse zu optimieren und unsere Produktentwicklung auf das nächste Level zu bringen. Du bist ein überzeugter Thought Leader mit Erfahrung in und Begeisterung für Agilität und Engineering Effectiveness.

Diese Aufgaben kommen auf dich zu

Leitung des Engineering-Teams und Sicherstellung einer effektiven Zusammenarbeit und Kommunikation innerhalb des Teams.
Dabei entwickelst du optimale Teambesetzungen und sorgst mit deinem Team für optimale Softwareentwicklungsprozesse im Unternehmen 
Du bist Coach und Mentor für deine Teammitglieder und unterstützt diese bei ihrer kontinuierlichen Weiterentwicklung.
Entwicklung und Umsetzung von langfristigen Engineering Strategien, um die Bereichs- und Unternehmensziele zu erreichen
Gewährleistung der Einhaltung von Zeitplänen, Budgets und Qualitätsstandards
Identifizierung von neuen Technologien, Tools und Methoden, die die Effizienz und Leistungsfähigkeit des Engineering-Teams verbessern können
Mitwirkung bei der Einführung modernerTechnologien (wie KI und maschinelles Lernen), um unsere Banken- und Fintech-Lösungen weiterzuentwickeln

Das bringst du mit

Abgeschlossenes Studium im Bereich Informatik, Softwaretechnik oder einer ähnlichen technischen Disziplin
Nachgewiesene Erfahrung als Entwickler/ Architekt vorzugsweise in Java
Nachgewiesene Erfahrung in der Leitung und Entwicklung von Engineering-Teams, idealerweise im FinTech-Umfeld
Fundierte Kenntnisse in der Softwareentwicklung und Architektur, vorzugsweise mit komplexen B2B oder gewachsene Legacy-Produkte
Erfahrung in der Anwendung agiler Entwicklungsmethoden wie Scrum, Kanban oder Lean, um die Effizienz und Produktivität des Engineering-Teams zu maximieren.
Erfahrung in der Implementierung und Anpassung agiler Frameworks an die spezifischen Anforderungen und Herausforderungen des Unternehmens.
Bereitschaft, kontinuierlich Feedback zu sammeln und den Entwicklungsprozess basierend auf den Ergebnissen zu verbessern.
Erfahrung in der Schulung und Unterstützung von Teammitgliedern bei der Anwendung agiler Methoden und Praktiken.
Sehr gute Deutsch- und gute Englischkenntnisse

What can you expect from us

Our goal is to continuously offer our customers innovative and value-adding solutions and to consolidate and expand our position as an expert in the field of software solutions for banks and fintechs. As Head of Software Engineering, you will play a key role in realising our vision. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, prioritisation, implementation and monitoring of software development projects.
You will lead our development team of currently around 20 developers and will work closely with other departments to optimise our processes and take our product development to the next level. You are a confident thought leader with experience in and enthusiasm for agility and engineering effectiveness.

What will your responsibilities involve?

Leading the engineering team and ensuring effective collaboration and communication within the team.
You will develop optimal team compositions and work with your team to optimise software development processes within the company 
You are a coach and mentor for your team members and support them in their continuous development.
Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies to achieve divisional and company goals
Ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets and quality standards
Identify new technologies, tools and methods that can improve the efficiency and performance of the engineering team
Contributing to the introduction of modern technologies (such as AI and machine learning) to further develop our banking and fintech solutions

Your profile

Completed studies in computer science, software engineering or a similar technical discipline
Proven experience as a developer/architect, preferably in Java
Proven experience in leading and developing engineering teams, ideally in a FinTech environment
Sound knowledge of software development and architecture, preferably with complex B2B or grown legacy products
Experience in applying agile development methods such as Scrum, Kanban or Lean to maximise the efficiency and productivity of the engineering team
Experience in implementing and adapting agile frameworks to the specific requirements and challenges of the organisation.
Willingness to continuously gather feedback and improve the development process based on the results.
Experience in training and supporting team members in the application of agile methods and practices.
Good command of German and English
