The Role
As a Senior Project Planner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. In this role you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and analysing integrated schedules in support of successful project delivery.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll utilise your strong communication, relationship building and team playing capability to ensure the integrated schedule is reflective of all contract work and deliverables, reflects current status / progress, is used to drive focused and effective delivery and supports clear performance measuring:

 

  • You will work with various stakeholders including Project Managers, Control Account Managers, Project Controllers, customers and wider project stakeholders.
  • You will also sit within our Planning Discipline, reporting to a Principal Planner (or similar role) who will support future development.
  • Your motivation, drive and passion for managing and delivering successful project outcomes will win the hearts and minds of customers and colleagues alike.

 

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and requires regular travel to Bristol or Leicester or Plymouth on a weekly basis alongside home working arrangements.

 

Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential Experience of the Senior Project Planner: 

  • Advanced knowledge and experience of using Primavera P6.
  • Demonstratable experience in a similar role, environment and / or industry.
  • Experience creating, maintaining and / or working in accordance with related Governance artefacts (i.e. Project Management Plans, Schedule Management Plans etc).
  • Exposure to supporting Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (I.e. Monte Carlo) is desirable but, not essential.
  • Knowledge of MoD working practices / MoD EVM requirements is preferred but, not necessary.

 

Qualifications for the Senior Project Planner:
