Job Description

The hiring of external expertise is vital in Vattenfall’s workforce strategy. Several stake-holders are involved and to successfully source the right candidate, the Resource Management Center (RMC) is coordinating and facilitating the external hirings.

That is why we are now looking to hire a

Resource Management Center (RMC) Advisor

located in Hamburg.

As an RMC Advisor you coordinate and execute the whole process. You report to the Manager of the RMC team. On a daily basis, you will work very integrated with your colleagues on your location, and at the same time be part of an international team of professionals.

The RMC team consists of ten colleagues located in Stockholm, Hamburg and Amsterdam.

Your responsibilities as RMC Advisor:

  • Steering and guiding hiring managers on the process of hiring external resources
  • Effectively managing business critical requisitions whilst managing stakeholder expectations
  • Ensuring compliance to Vattenfall policies and national law throughout the hiring process
  • Acting as the contact point for hiring managers, HR Business Partners, Procurement and other internal stakeholders
  • Acting as the contact for brokers, suppliers and temp agencies in close interaction with Procurement

Key daily activities:

  • Managing incoming requests and interacting with hiring managers regarding hiring procedures and managing expectations about process, actions and delivery time
  • Executing new requests (market search via brokers and suppliers/preferred candidates), prolongations and changes in close interaction with hiring managers and brokers/suppliers
  • Steering the call-offs of frame agreements with brokers/suppliers towards benchmark rates and coordinating the negotiations (executed by brokers)
  • Managing the call-offs and creating purchase orders

Besides the daily activities, you will be leading one or more cross-team responsibilities, e.g. supplier management, process management, in order to continuously improve the ways of working in Vattenfall’s management of external resources.

Qualifications

As RMC Advisor you ideally have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field (desirable) 
  • At least 2 years practical experience in temporary, contract, interim, or contingent recruitment
  • Experience of work with strong result-orientation and able to meet tight deadlines and produce concise information for senior management
  • Be able to demonstrate effective stakeholder management and engagement 
  • Will to seek knowledge to better understand business requirements
  • Attentive to detail but able to step back and look at the big picture
  • High ability to work independently
  • Strongly service minded, communicative and with an ability to act as a trusted advisor to our internal customers
  • Fluent in German and in English, spoken and written
