We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied Master thesis in the area of Innovative Analysis Methods for Industrial Computed Tomography.

Join our expert team at BMW in Munich, where we are at the forefront of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, with X-ray Computed Tomography (CT) being one of our most frequently used and cherished analysis tools. What awaits you?

  • In this master thesis project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the implementation of photon-counting detectors for CT systems and compare their performance with conventional energy-integrating detectors. 
  • By evaluating the benefits of this technology in the automotive industry, your research will play a crucial role in enhancing the capabilities of CT systems and revolutionizing non-destructive testing in the automotive sector.

 

Please note that your thesis must be supervised by a university on your part.

 

What should you bring along? 

  • You are in your final stages of your Master’s Studies in Physics, Engineering or other comparable technical degree program.
  • Ideally, you already gained some experience in the field of X-ray imaging.
  • Ideally, you already gained some experience in the field of image processing.
  • Analytical thinking skills.
  • Fluent in English and good German skills.
  • You possess strong team and communication skills.
