HEAD OF REGULATORY AND SUPERVISORY DEPARTMENT (M/F)
THE JOB :
Within the supervisory department, the position involves the strategic management of the Bank’s relations with its supervisory authorities, as well as the proactive management of the Bank’s and the Group’s regulatory affairs.
The responsibilities of the position are as follows:
1) To strategically and effectively manage the company’s relationship with its supervisory authorities:
• Ensure effective management of the overall relationship between the business and its supervisory authorities, guaranteeing the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Ensure proactive coordination with internal and external stakeholders involved in supervisory matters, as well as with the General Secretariat teams.
• Representing the company to supervisory authorities and relevant external organisations.
2) To manage the company’s and the Group’s regulatory affairs strategically and proactively:
• Strategically and proactively manage corporate and Group regulatory affairs, including regulatory oversight at national, EU and international levels, and provide training as required.
• Cooperate with internal and external stakeholders involved in regulatory issues, as well as with the General Secretariat teams.
• Provide quality advice to the business lines and control functions of the company, as well as to the Executive Committee.
• Actively participate in internal decision-making committees and lead various company and Group projects.
3) To manage the Regulatory and Supervisory Department:
• Recruit, develop, motivate and manage the performance of the department’s team on a daily basis.
• Ensure close collaboration between team members and other members of the General Secretariat.
• Ensure efficient organisation of the department and regular reporting to the General Secretary and General Counsel.
• Supervise the performance of local heads of department in Group entities.
LE PROFIL DU CANDIDAT :
• The ideal candidate is an expert in Banking Law and Strategy:
• Master’s degree in law.
• French and English required, other languages considered an advantage.
• Banking techniques: In-depth knowledge of banking activities, financial products and services and the national, EU and international legal and regulatory environment.
• At least 10 years’ experience in supervisory, regulatory or legal departments, including at least 5 years in a management role. Experience with the ECB/JST or a reputable law firm is an advantage.
