What will you be doing at DeepL in future?

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis, including variance and trend analysis, to support decision making and drive business performance.
  • Actively engage with business leaders to understand their challenges and opportunities, and provide strategic insights and recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing financial guidance, analysis and support to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Coordinate with Accounting during month-end and year-end closing processes, providing necessary financial data and analysis to facilitate the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize the monthly closing process, leveraging automationstandardization, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support FP&A in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and recommendations to optimize resource allocation and achieve financial goals.
  • Prepare and present executive-level financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for the CFO, summarizing key findings, trends, and recommendations to support informed decision-making and strategic planning

About you

  • Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts and analysis to non-financial stakeholders and fostering cross-functional collaboration
  • .4-5 years of experience in this field
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with business leaders, accounting teams, and other stakeholders, establishing trust and credibility as a valued business partner
  • Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards to interpret financial statements, assess financial health, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with a can-do and proactive attitude
  • Excited to join a scale-up where not everything is figured out, we move fast and actively build the systems on the go, shifting priorities and adapting to the ever-changing environment.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

  • Experience to work in SaaS start-up or larger software company
  • Knowledge and experience of Workday platforms & Pigment
  • Additional European languages
  • Knowledge of translation software and technology industry
