Your new role
Support the Data Protection Officer, EMEA (DPO) to ensure the compliance of the Eisai EMEA region and other Eisai entities based outside of the UK/EU with the GDPR and other applicable local data protection laws in the EMEA region. 


What are we looking for?

  • A degree in law, computer science or other area relevant to data protection, or equivalent.
  • CIPP(E) (Certified Information Privacy Professional (Europe) preferred but not essential.
  • A second language (ideally French, German, Italian, Russian, Spanish or Japanese) is advantageous but not required.
  • Possess good experience and understanding alongside practical application of GDPR, UK GDPR and UK Data Protection Act. 
  • Good knowledge of OneTrust platform and previous experience in creating, updating various assessments in OneTrust.
  • Understanding of EU AI act and other related AI laws, practices and impact of personal data processing.
  • Previous experience in a compliance, data protection and/or privacy role required, preferably in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Knowledge of other applicable data protection laws is advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent in spoken & written English) with excellent presentation / negotiation skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively across a matrix organisation.
  • Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Evidence of undertaking all or some of the following:
    • data protection/ information security risk assessments
    • vendor assessments 
    • compliance reviews 
    • data protection impact assessments
    • legitimate interest assessments
    • transfer impact assessments
