Job Purpose/Role:

 

You will be part of the Finance Excellence team (FinEx) at Allianz Direct. You will support the development and maintenance of the FinEx framework (processes, tools, governance, reporting) and provide key stakeholders with appropriate information, analyses, and recommendations.


Key responsibilities:

 

 

  • Monthly expense closing for insurance business and revenues/expense closing for IT platform.
  • Monthly and quarterly expense reporting for insurance business and revenues/expense reporting for IT platform.
  • With platform business owners, planning and ongoing forecasting of spend /IT revenues and its reflection in the financial statements of the organization.
  • Be cost controller for one or more Allianz Direct areas (e.g. transformation office).
  • Provide governance, analyses, and reports to ensure company-wide spend discipline.
  • Maintenance / Optimization of Cost Controlling model in SAP CO (cost allocations, cost center structures, recharging,…).
  • Support and steer business functions in understanding and managing their budget.
  • Active participation in the ongoing development of the FinEx function of Allianz Direct.
  • Go-to department for transactional and operational VAT topics, with focus Germany.
  • Implement and document inter and intracompany (re-)charging, incl. support transfer pricing documentation.
  • Take a close look at our transactional finance processes to identify potential for optimization (outsourcing and/or end-to-end digitalization).
     

 

Qualifications/Key skills:

 

  • Higher education degree in finance, business administration, mathematics, engineering, or another quantitative field.
  • Strong analytical skills, a good grasp of quantitative methods.
  • Experience with SAP CO and/or SAS, proficiency with MS Office suite
  • English skills (written and spoken), additional languages a plus.
  • Minimum 6 years relevant professional experience in financial controlling, investment, actuarial or risk, preferably in an operational unit.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate financial topics for a non-finance audience.
  • Highly self-driven and proactive mindset.
  • Business maturity and ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of cooperation and ability to work toward team success.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and curiosity.
  • Willingness to challenge oneself and counterparties to strive for continuous improvement.
