The Casting & Talent Partnerships team is key to making Zalando the starting point for fashion inspiration and entertainment. We do this by building a community of talents, innovators & creators from all walks of life who are excited to create content that tells engaging stories of diversity, inclusivity, self-expression and sustainability through fashion. We will create and share lifestyle inspiration that's relevant and interesting to our diverse Zalando customer base across all our Zalando platforms to keep them coming back again and again.

You will think strategically about how to translate Zalando’s talent & casting vision, understanding how to make it work through campaigns, cultural activations and relevant storytelling keeping the bigger strategic objectives top of mind. We want to be where fashion and lifestyle starts, for everyone, everywhere but still be inspiring and educational to our consumer.

As Senior Manager you will source, recruit and manage a range of talent, creators, agents and agencies who work closely with Zalando during our key seasonal moments. You’ll work closely with the casting and talent team to ensure that our partners feel part of the Zalando ecosystem while building an engaged network of diverse people of influence to create high impact curation and content our audience loves. You’ll act as the first point of contact to ensure they are delivering on the team and activations objectives as well as orchestrating the execution of internal projects. You’ll be a culture and social first individual, a senior personality that has great understanding of casting, trend narratives, a native on Instagram and TikTok and know the type of content that connects these talents and creators to our consumer.

The role will be multifaceted including doing casting for seasonal campaigns, research for cultural innovators, leading partnerships with talents and staying on top of industry and cultural trends, building relationships with talent and understanding what’s current and what’s next and how can Zalando be part of it. Like the very nature of fashion, we need a senior manager who is open to change, who can move quickly and refuses to settle for the status quo. You won’t just stay on top of what’s already trending, you’ll stay ahead.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Casting & Talent Management. You’ll be responsible for sourcing and recruiting a pool of Talents. You’ll be building relationships with them and their managements and ensuring they love being a part of our ecosystem whilst reflecting the values of Zalando. You’ll take care of contracting, compensation, briefing and other operational topics.

  • Put yourself in the customer's shoes. You’ll act as the first point of contact for our talents,creators and partners whether that is ensuring they have the necessary tools to make each activation a success.

  • Analyse and adapt. Dealing with multiple talents, you’ll know how to measure and report on success against strategic goals, quickly adapting when necessary to optimise performance. You’ll be able to pull insights from multiple data sources that can help steer the performance to ensure they deliver on the goals of the programs.

  • Continuous Improvement. You’ll be on the frontline when it comes to working with talent and will be best positioned to identify opportunities to improve our ways of working that you can share with the relevant stakeholders. You will build and transfer knowledge of problems and opportunities relative to casting & talent management and will contribute to strategic management initiatives.

  • Communicate fearlessly. From creative to talent agencies to model agencies and internal teams, you’ll be a team player who can show initiative, work to quick deadlines and manage the workload and expectations of stakeholders.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

  • You have 3 - 5 years of experience working within a global talent agency or influencer marketing agency, in talent management positions in publishing and have had the expertise of sourcing and contracting celebrities, talents, influencers and models ideally having worked across entertainment, culture and/or fashion. 

  • Experience in casting for fashion projects whether cultural or commercial is mandatory.

  • You have European knowledge of the creator industry. 

  • You have a high level understanding of the creator industry and an eye for great content. 

  • You have great negotiation, organisational and coordination skills, attention to detail and a high level of accuracy ensuring that work is completed on time and in full

  • You’re committed to diversity and inclusivity – you’ll share our message of inclusivity and liberation through fashion. You will be an ambassador for this in your output and your internal conduct.

  • You want to learn and develop - working in fashion and ecommerce, what’s in one month is out the next. We’ll all be learning new skills together, at every level. 

  • Communicating with your colleagues in English is a breeze, more language skills are welcome.
