Could you be the full-time Obsolescence Manager (f/m/d) in Vienna we’re looking for?

 

Your future role

From Vienna to the world: our Viennese site is a global competence center for trams and light rail vehicles. 800 colleagues develop and manufacture the Flexity™ tram for worldwide customers from Austria to Australia. Our product line Services offers a complete range of solutions to maximise the value of customer assets. Our offerings cover the entire lifecycle of the asset, from design and build, to operation, to end of life. You’ll report to Franz Santner, Services Engineering Manager, and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team. 

 

We’ll look for you to:

  • Optimize inventory levels and lead efforts to phase out obsolete products in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Conduct thorough analyses to identify potential obsolescence risks and recommend proactive measures
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize the impact of product obsolescence on Alstom's operations
  • Facilitate and support the development of obsolescence management plan

  • Technical education or understanding of Methods Engineering, writing and improving manufacturing and/or maintenance work instructions, line balancing, Lean Manufacturing
  • IT literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • English and German fluency
  • Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up
  • Team Player.  Supports team members, Spirit of “Team Trust Action”

The minimum salary for this position is € 44.908 EUR gross annually for full-time employment according to the collective bargaining agreement. Overpayment depends on relevant work experience and qualifications.
