To support our Procurement department at the location Ulm we are looking for immediate placement for a

Chassis Procurement Manager (m/w/d)

Your Tasks

  • Manage consolidation of plant chassis requirements for standardized and consigned chassis
  • Lead negotiations with chassis suppliers based on sales forecast to secure the best possible pricing and terms
  • Negotiate terms with chassis modification suppliers to ensure that all customer requirements are met
  • Scout the European market and strategically source chassis components and suppliers, considering plant requirements and cost-effectiveness
  • Set up a database to track and follow up on ordered consignment vehicles
  • Manage customer orders to supersede consignment orders, ensuring that customer needs are met in a timely and efficient manner
  • Follow up and prioritize delivery dates in coordination with Product Management and Chassis suppliers
  • Set up and host annual portfolio definition meeting to develop and finalize the chassis procurement plan for the upcoming year

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a professional qualification in a related field
  • Experience in chassis technology or procurement
  • Experience with the European chassis market helpful
  • Experience with chassis modification
  • Experience in negotiating with suppliers helpful
  • English and German language skills, further languages advantageous.
  • Experience with MS Office software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
