With our professional audio technology for music makers and music lovers, we have been accompanying music in the pro-audio and high-end headphone sector successfully for a very long time; on the stages of the world, through the studios of the metropolises to the ears of our sophisticated customers. With digitization and globalization, our path is now penetrating new business areas and new customers. For this task we are looking for reinforcement.

As Business Development Manager you are responsible for the way the business operates. You think and work strategically, seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business by carrying out necessary planning to implement sales, marketing and operational change as determined. You research and identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services, or new ways of reaching existing markets.

Strategic development in sales, marketing & operation:

  • Elaborate, implement and monitor mid- & long-term strategies for overall USA business
  • Work with HQ and Director to review and establish annual sales and marketing budgets and strategies for overall USA business with a focus on sales & marketing, discuss promotional strategy and activities with marketing
  • Set, implement and evaluate KPIs of sales & marketing with teams
  • Manage operational monitoring and quality assurance of sales & marketing incl. P&L
  • Review P&L monthly results with Director, establish future adjustments as needed
  • Work with Director establishing programs and actions for sales budget achievement
  • Take responsibility of the sales forecast & sales results, and make alignments with HQ for product availabilities
  • Initiate, foster and develop business relationships with existing and new key accounts
  • Constant Analysis of the US markets, sales, marketing and operations
  • Analyze competitive brands' pricing and marketing trends and actions, review with Director margin requirements and set correct price-setting considering market and commercial status
  • Lead internal sales & marketing teams and collaborate actively and strongly with different teams in the USA & HQ and external partners
  • Identify and analyze market and business potentials, and share learning with HQ and develop for growth
  • Take responsibility of the sales forecast & sales results, and make alignments with HQ for product availabilities
  • Analyze and set correct price-setting considering market and commercial status

Professional Skills:

  • Successfully completed course of studies from a recognized university in business management, comparable degree, or equal experience
  • Profound experience, knowledge and track records of markets and sales channels in Consumer Electronic industry (or similar)
  • Several years of experience in team leads and management at a higher level
  • Experience in developing and implementing mid- & long-term strategies with a focus on sales and marketing
  • Strong sales background with a creative process tailored to accomplishing sales objectives
  • Strong experience with B2C customer base
  • Good understanding of research, data analysis, market landscape as well as well-developed commercial acumen for cross-functional collaboration
  • Distinct understanding of numbers and analytical way of working incl. P&L
  • Ability to think strategically, critically analyze and synthesize complicated data, industry and business information
  • Experience in working in a global cross-functional team environment (functional/matrix) as well as groups with varied cultural backgrounds and learning styles
  • Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability and availability for travel

Further duties: 

  • Inventory control working with Opeations Manager and Sales and Marketing staff for all forecasts 
  • Initiate and send the business report to teams and HQ 
  • Get involved in and lead various company projects e.g. acquiring new service partners, key accounts, product developments, recruiting process, exhibits 
  • Oversee US Operations Manager 
  • Seek ways of improving the way the business operates 
  • Work with officer manager overseeing HR

Professional skills:
