WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You are responsible for the optimal packaging design in combination with optimal transport and storage options for mechanical parts of our products such as HUD (Head-up-Displays), OBC (On-Board-Chargers), RSE (Rear-Seat-Entertainment Displays), Escutcheons, and Wireless Chargers
You select and evaluate suppliers who meet our requirements, and you negotiate contract- and framework conditions
Furthermore, you are in charge of cost reduction regarding BOM costs, packaging and transportation solutions
You are responsible for the launch. This includes time management, purchasing and shipment approvals and leading discussions concerning problem solving
You interact and collaborate with related organizations such as Program Management, Logistics, Warehouse, Engineering (PEG), Quality, Local and Global contract buyers

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Successful completed studies in Packaging-, Design- or Industrial Engineering or similar
Over 5-year experience in similar position in automotive Tier 1 or similar business
Expertise in sourcing, contract, and/or cost reduction activities as well as Design Software
Fluent in English language (German and Japanese speaking preferable) and great cross-cultural communication skills
Basic knowledge in production purchasing, tooling, logistics, capacity planning & verification and automotive procurement quality assurance activities
Good problem solving, negotiation and mathematic skills
Willingness to travel (min. 45%)
