POSITION SUMMARY:

Introducing Nestlé Purina’s new Williamsburg Township, Ohio, factory – just 30 miles east of Cincinnati. This world-class factory will be built from the ground up to produce a wide variety of some of the most trusted and beloved pet care brands in the U.S. Our passionate team in Williamsburg Township will work in an environment that values safety, the latest technology in manufacturing and a culture of learning. Position Summary

As the Food Safety Technician, you will be responsible for managing and supporting Food Safety programs. You will conduct routine audits of the facility and outside storage facilities including food safety and the warehouse. You will also monitor physical, chemical, and biological food safety hazards and implement control measures. 

This position will require travel up to 50% for the first 18 months and will gradually reduce as the Williamsburg Township facility approaches operational startup. The travel will include training at other Nestle Purina operating facilities and will assist with the startup of our Eden, NC plant.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the factory’s integrated pest management program in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Develop, implement, maintain, and administer the factory sanitation programs to ensure that all products are manufactured in a sanitary environment
  • Install, inspect and service pest monitoring and control devices
  • Conduct factory food safety inspections regularly and escalate appropriately
  • Collaborate on HACCP verification activities
  • Coordinate and collaborate with factory Food Safety Programs, including but not limited to Chemical Control and Waste Management
  • Provide support and guidance to all departments regarding Food Safety issues
  • Coordinate training and development of employees for all factory food safety programs
  • Manage chemical supplies and sanitation services including, waste removal, custodian, yards, and grounds
  • Support departmental coverage as needed

 

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ year experience working in food safety, pest control, industrial sanitation within a manufacturing, industrial or related environment
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% for the first 18 months for training purposes. There will be little to no travel required once the Williamsburg Township facility is operational.

Other

  • Certified Pest Management Professional License in the State of Ohio. Must obtain Ohio license within 3 months if not already certified.

The approximate pay range for this position is $39,000 to $57,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
