Job Description

Your scope, tasks, and responsibilities are as follows:
• Lead the ContiTech Purchasing Team for Rubber Compounds globally and Chemical Traders for the Americas region to be in line with sourcing strategy and agreed guidelines.
• Purchasing Ambassador for the regions including coordination of activities with ContiTech & Group Purchasing.
• Meet cost requirements, implement and conduct cost saving activities.
• Active support, coordination between Purchasing and other functions e.g. SCM and R&D.
• Support implementation of Continental standard business processes, according to global standards.
• Coordination between implementation team and local process owners.
• Run and support global/regional/plant purchasing optimization projects, ensure alignment with correspnding guidelines.
• Coordinate in line with Continental purchasing standards.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and processes at all times.
• Ensure proper communication of policies and processes.

Qualifications

• University degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) and/or extensive experience.
• Several years of purchasing experience, preferably rubber industry.
• Several years experience in a leading position.
• Negotiation experience in an international trade environment.
• Experience in a variety of projects related to purchasing, cost improvements, efficiency gains. As well, experience in organizational development and transformation.
