Job Description
We are looking for you, a Head of Production Material Purchasing Industry EMEA (m/f/diverse), to support our area CT Operations at the location Hannover.
Your tasks will focus on the following activities:
• Managing Regional material/supplier portfolio for production materials  not under lead buyer Management
• Leading the ContiTech plant purchasers in the EMEA region
• Providing purchasing support to project teams for the EMEA region
• Steering selection of new production material suppliers in collaboration with central functions (e.g. supplier development, R&D)
• Monitoring market pricing and availability movements for key production materials and communicate impact
• Being the go to person for handling shortages
• Supporting Make or Buy decisions and optimization of purchasing processes
• Supporting Suppliers Development to ensure timely sourcing, quality and competitiveness
• Working with the different Regional/Plant functions to find the best solutions in quality, service and availability of production materials
• Acting as Regional Purchasing Ambassador for the EMEA region, coordinating activities with ContiTech & Group Purchasing.
Qualifications
• University degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) or relevant experience
• Several years of experience in purchasing or SCM experience, preferably rubber industry
• Experience in variety of projects related to purchasing, cost improvements, efficiency gains, CBS             
• Several years of experience in a leading position                                     
• International experience and strong intercultural understanding
• Experience and understanding of international trade and geopolitical variabilities
• Independent working style, good communication skills, ability to work in a team and a confident manner
