Job Description
We are looking for you, a Global Lead Buyer EPDM & CR (m/f/diverse), to support our area CT Operations at the location Hannover.
Your tasks will focus on the following activities:
• Leading the ContiTech Purchasing Team for synthetic rubbers (e.g. EPDM and CR) to be in line with sourcing strategy and agreed guidelines
• Purchasing Ambassador for the regions, including coordination of activities with ContiTech & Group Purchasing
• Meeting cost requirements, implementing and conducting cost saving activities
• Active supporting, coordination between purchasing and other functions e.g. SCM and R&D
• Supporting implementation of Continental standard business processes, according to global standards
• Coordination between implementation team and local process owners
• Running and supporting global/regional/plant purchasing optimization projects, ensuring alignment with corresponding guidelines
• Coordinating in line with Continental purchasing standards
• Ensuring compliance with all policies and processes at all times
• Ensuring proper communication of policies and processes
Qualifications
• University degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Master) and/or extensive experience
• Long term experience of purchasing experience, preferably rubber industry
• Several years of experience in a leading position
• Negotiation experience in an international trade environment
• Experience in a variety of projects related to purchasing, cost improvements, efficiency gains as well as experience in organizational development and transformation
• Independent working style, good communication skills, ability to work in a team and a confident manner
