We have partnered with a global pharmaceutical company specialising in commercialising generic drugs. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced out-licensing professional to take on the role of Business Development Director. This individual contributor position is for the overall strategic management of our client’s pipeline portfolio products. This is a remote position across Europe.

Key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for licensing out pipeline and portfolio products in the assigned territory to selected multinational clients, strategy development and implementation in the context of the Company`s B2B strategy, as well as the following: 

  • Analysing resource/return aspects carefully and leveraging resources and programs to achieve maximum value from each selected deal.
  • Development of new customers, expansion of existing customers as well as development of licensing and partnership concepts in the context of Company strategy
  • Cultivate close customer relations
  • Selectively target and build relationships with industry leaders (e.g., distributions or generic partners to negotiate licensing and supply deals)
  • Developing and negotiating new Licensing and Supply Agreements in line with the Company targets and objectives
  • Continuous review and optimization of processes within the responsible area and interfaces to other functional areas

Skills & Experience Required:

We are looking for someone with several years’ experience in the Generic Business Development and Licensing environment an existing strong network and a proven track record of tangible, commercial success. You should also possess the following skills: 

  • Good understanding of various regional market dynamics
  • High-level influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial character and can-do attitude
  • Strategic thinker
  • Effective communication skills with a good command of English
  • Flexibility to travel when necessary
