Senior Site Technology Engineer

Job Purpose:

  • Implement Continuous Improvement (CI) and Operational Excellence in production facilities to enhance output quality and quantity, responding to market changes and energy costs.
  • Cultivate a CI culture and knowledge (Lean, Six Sigma, Lenzing Production Systems) throughout the value chain, with a focus on manufacturing and operations, to boost key performance indicators aligned with Lenzing's strategy and EBITDA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to production teams.
  • Develop and enhance standard operating procedures.
  • Create and implement production KPIs and tracking tools.
  • Analyze production/process data systematically to improve safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Manage CI projects, delivering on time and within budget.
  • Monitor plant process performance to maintain competitiveness.
  • Propose cost-effective process improvements and safety enhancements.
  • Support capital improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with global and local technology teams.
  • Conduct optimization workshops and process training.
  • Provide monthly updates on CI project progress.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Production, Process, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, or Automation (mandatory).
  • Master's degree or higher preferred.

Experience:

  • 10 - 15 years of total work experience in process technology or manufacturing/chemical/petrochemical operation, with preference for Lyocell or man-made cellulosic fiber production/technology knowledge.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing, chemical, or petrochemical engineering.
  • Experience in project engineering, plant design, and relevant engineering disciplines is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and LEAN principles (e.g., Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping) preferable.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, MS Project, SAP modules, and production tools (e.g., ASPEN) desired, with Delta V DCS experience being a plus.
  • Understanding of local regulations is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills for task management.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and intercultural sensitivity skills.
  • Proficient in English (CEFR/ALTE level B2/3) with clear communication and presentation abilities.
  • Commitment to ethical business conduct and personal integrity.
