Purpose

HBS specialises in the media production, distribution and archiving of sports tournaments. With the transition to remote productions, HBS is now offering these services through the cloud. This Media Cloud is being used for hundreds of matches per year in the Americas, Europe and Africa.

Main Activities/Responsibilities

To drive the delivery of cutting-edge new functionalities, HBS is looking for a Technical Program Manager. You will be expected to work with clients, development, and operations teams to ensure complex technical functionalities are delivered in time for the tournaments. This role requires the ability to tackle difficult problems, work with ambiguity, and motivate and inspire others to help deliver the highest quality.

• Drive implementation and delivery of key functionalities of the Media Cloud
• Lead agile engineering operations teams and work with suppliers to coordinate, prioritise and deliver to the roadmap
• Clarify, prioritize and drive project commitments, as well as establish and maintain clear chains of accountability
• Articulate goals, desired outcomes, risks/issues, and mitigation plan clearly
• Support and enhance the services offered to the clients with thoughtful and measurable impact

Position Relevant Skills (Background & Experience)

• Five+ Years of Program, Project, or Product Management experience
• Experience in facilitating various phases (driving requirements, design, progress & status meetings) of the software development lifecycle
• Strong understanding of processes and frameworks needed to drive successful execution of complex software applications
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and drive results while juggling many priorities under tight timeframes
• Comfort with ambiguity but also willing to dive deep into the technical details to ensure the delivery of a successful event
• Experience working at a TV Network, Broadcaster, or an internet streaming platform specialising in video technologies
• Experience building and evaluating system-level technical designs related to broadcast and cloud-native workflows, including media asset management systems and live signal processing
• Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
• Experience with managing contracts and legal documents
• Experience with managing budgets and forecasting

Required Languages

• English fluent (Spoken & Written)
