Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The Credit Control Specialist is responsible for the collection of debts owed to GfK by third parties within certain geographical and language areas. Through the joint work of the credit control teams and other teams, it is necessary to ensure the best credit control service within the GfK Group, minimizing arrears and maximizing cash flow.
Shared participation in team responsibilities and tasks.
This is a permanent contract position with a functional reporting line to the Head of Division / Accounts Receivable Manager.
You will:
Control and collect debts from third parties by proactively managing his/her assigned receivables to achieve the set monthly targets.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date data and various customer information in the accounts receivable system.
Ensure and maintains the quality of the volume of conversations held, in support of the process of collecting receivables and achieving goals.
Work collaboratively with sales teams to ensure prompt resolution of all incoming issues.
Assist team leaders in resolving disputes raised by clients to GfK.
Prioritize tasks and requests during critical periods such as end of month and end of quarter.
Assist others in the team to achieve and fulfill key tasks and responsibilities.
Ensure that day-to-day activities are carried out in accordance with established objectives and deadlines.
Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner in all situations.
You have:
Minimum 1 year of experience in an international company, preferably within a SSC/BPO environment, within Order to Cash or Account Payable
University degree (finance, accounting, business, or related field)
Fluency in German and English, both verbal and written
Functional knowledge of MS Excel, SAP, Sidetrade (optional) or other ERP and/or Collection and Dispute Management software
The ability to cooperate and interact effectively at all levels of the organization
Very good understanding of customer services
Accuracy and strong attention to detail
The ability to work on own initiative and proactive/self-starter
