Your Mission
The Head of IT Strategy plays a central role in driving the success of kloeckner.i by providing strategic support, facilitating effective communication, and overseeing key initiatives related to IT strategy, delivery, and project and process management. In this function, the Head of IT Strategy is the right hand of the CEO and ensures alignment across departments, optimizes operational efficiency, and fosters a culture of collaboration and excellence. The position is responsible for engaging with and managing stakeholders across all countries to gain a strong understanding of the business needs and how technology can support and improve operations in resource-limited environments. The Head of IT strategy plays a key leadership role in defining and creating the strategic roadmap for IT.
Your Role
Develop and implement the IT strategy: The Head of IT Strategy collaborates with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute strategic plans for both KCI and IT within the Klöckner group in alignment with the overall company objectives.
Communicate and align with IT departments: The Head of IT Strategy acts as a link between the CEO and the leadership team, ensuring clear communication and alignment. The Head of IT Strategy facilitates cross-functional collaboration and alignment and fosters a culture of transparency, accountability, and teamwork. This includes also the organization and execution of regular meetings and workshops to share information and gather feedback.
As a right hand to the CEO the Head of Strategy manages the CEO's appointments and meetings. This includes obtaining the necessary information from stakeholders within the group, consolidating all relevant information, and the preparation of slide sets at the board level.
Oversee project management: The Head of IT Strategy is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic IT projects and ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the set quality standards. This implies working within project management frameworks, methodologies, and governance processes to optimize project delivery and mitigate risks. The Head of IT Strategy is expected to provide guidance and support to the strategic program and project management teams, removing obstacles, resolving conflicts, and driving continuous improvement.
Promote business process management: The Head of IT Strategy plays a central role in promoting the importance of business process management as a business function at Klöckner. This implies serving as a sparring partner to the business process manager and ensuring that processes are standardized and documented across the organization.
Establishment and further development of a service landscape: In close coordination with the architects and controlling, the Head of IT strategy develops a service catalog in line with the needs of the Klöckner Group's stakeholders. In doing so, the Head of IT Strategy monitors local requirements and the group optimum.
Ensure data security and compliance: The Head of IT Strategy is responsible for ensuring compliance with data security and privacy regulations. This includes implementing data protection measures, monitoring compliance, and addressing any issues that arise.
Build and lead a team of strategic project managers and process managers: The Head of IT Strategy is responsible for building and leading the strategic project management team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. This includes recruiting top talent, setting performance expectations, and providing regular feedback and coaching.
Support changes in the Klöckner affiliate portfolio: The Head of IT Strategy manages carve-out and integration projects and ensures that the sub-projects are carried out in line with Klöckner's vision and timeline. The Head of IT Strategy is the umbrella for all divisions involved including stakeholders in the holding such as M&A and legal.
