Team Lead Buying Assistants


(Full time/Part time, 32-38 hours a week)

Are you a professional with experience in coaching and/or managing a commercial (procurement) team? Do you enjoy the challenge of a dynamic working environment with lots of freedom and room to grow? If so, we could be a perfect match! We are looking for a Team Lead Buying Assistants within our Procurement department. Our Buying Assistants support the buyers in bringing hundreds of new products to the market throughout Europe. As Team Lead Buying Assistants, you are their facilitator, helping to build and coach the team while continually monitoring and optimising the team's work processes.
 

Your daily tasks


As Team Lead Buying Assistants, you will be part of our Procurement team and report to the Commercial Operations & Buying Assistants Manager. Your team will comprise a group of real all-rounders who work with our buyers in 14 product categories, ranging from Household and Toys to DIY and Multimedia. They are involved in everything from administrative procedures to commercial  aspects such as colour choices and packaging. As a Team Lead, you will relish and take on the challenge of optimising work processes as well as managing and motivating your team. You will coordinate and monitor workloads and ensure that the day-to-day operations with buyers run smoothly – and solve challenges as they arise. You will also serve as the internal point of contact for all Buying Assistant and HR-related activities.

What you offer


As a Team Lead, you are comfortable dealing with people and have excellent communication skills. You know how to manage your stakeholders and are a real people manager for your team. You are organised, meticulous and service-oriented. You are proactive and not afraid to make decisions, and you take responsibility. You can hold your own and tackle the challenge of solving bottlenecks head on.

You also have the following:

  • Experience in coaching and/or leading a team
  • A Bachelor's degree combined with relevant work experience in a commercial environment
  • Familiarity with procurement processes
  • A good command of English and Dutch (both spoken and written), as you will be working with national and international colleagues at our headquarters
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
