Are you looking for an exciting Master's thesis? In our team Chemical Energy Storage we work on tasks related to catalyst development. Within the project AmmonVektor catalysts for ammonia decomposition are being developed. In the scope of this project, we are looking for your support as a Master's student!

 

What you will do

  • Literature research on the topic of catalytic ammonia decomposition in the ohmic reactor
  • Synthesis, characterization and testing of heterogeneous catalysts, especially with regard to electrical heatability and resistance
  • Independent work in the laboratory and pilot plant
  • Interpretation and presentation of results

 

What you bring to the table

  • Ongoing Master's studies in the field of chemistry, in particular technical chemistry
  • Ideally first experience in handling laboratory-scale equipment, in the field of heterogeneous catalysis and in the evaluation of characterization methods, in particular XRD, BET; but not a mandatory requirement
  • Independent and reliable, scientific way of working 
  • Strong communication skills and enjoy working in a team

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is limited to 6 months.
