PhD - Investigation of Electrode Designs in the Field of AEM Electrolysis
Aufgaben
- Anion-exchange membrane (AEM) based low temperature electrolysis is a promising technology in the field of hydrogen production. To champion its technological key advantages, it is indispensable to further strengthen the fundamental understanding of electrode function.
- You will work on evaluation of differences in structure and performance of electrode coatings, performance electrochemical characterization on the single cell level and development of AEM-ELY model based on existing MEA models. You will plan test campaigns and cover the entire process chain from ink preperation to singel cell testing in order to entagle calyst utilization as a function of electrode processing, morphology and its interplay with adjacent MEA components.
- Work with us to shape our understanding of key component function in the field of diruptive hydrogen technologies. Use experiments for paramterisation for modeling of performance governing design parameters for AEM-ELY electrodes.
- Make active use of the available expertise in our internal research team and your academic environment.
- Systematically plan and carry out operando, in-situ and ex-situ experiments.
- Boost the work of our internal interdisciplinary and international research team, and publish your results in high-impact journals.
