For our BPD Pilot Plant Facility, we are looking for a

Scientist - Pilot Plant (m/f/x)

Fulltime / permanent/ tariff

The Opportunity

As a Scientist joining the BPD Pilot Plant team within Recombinant Product Development, you will be responsible for upstream and downstream batch manufacture for a variety of therapeutic candidate proteins. You will report to the Senior Manager Pilot Plant.

The Role

• Your main responsibility in this role will be the planning, manufacturing and data analysis of Batches for recombinant development projects. This includes Upstream and Downstream operations while the major focus will be hands on Upstream activities
• Another focus will be the participation in local and global projects and the coordination of Tech Transfer activities
• As an expert for specific Upstream processes and devices you will gather information of external suppliers and collaboration partners
• You will support the creation and maintenance of records and technical documents (including operating procedures, test- or process protocols and reports) within internal documentation systems and contribute to the submission of regulatory documents
• The Maintenance of manufacturing equipment according to specific quality standards (e.g. APS, GLP, GMP) as well as the creation of user requirements and the maintenance qualifications and calibration of manufacturing equipment will be part of your routine

Your Skills and Experience:

• A University Degree in a relevant field of science (e.g. Bachelor of Science in biology, biochemistry or protein chemistry)
• Professional experience in Upstream and Downstream operations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
• 4-5 years of relevant post graduate experience
