You will be part of our global People Experience Team and working very closely with your team members of the Global People Shared Services team.

As our People Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for being a key partner in supporting our People Business partners through operations, staffing, and supporting the employee experience at Staffbase. This role is based in Chemnitz.

We are looking for a people-oriented person with a background in human resources, strong communication skills and business acumen to advise and assist your internal customers. 

What you’ll be doing

  • First point of contact for employees on people-related issues and external partners (e.g. benefits providers, authorities, visa and relocation partners etc.)
  • Active support of the People Business Partners in all HR-related topics
  • Handle incoming employee matters through the internal ticketing system
  • Responsibility for all administrative and operational tasks within the People Experience organization, such as drafting employment contracts, writing reference letters and creating employer certificates
  • Maintain the internal database for new and existing employees and keep a high standard of data accuracy
  • Create and maintain guidelines, FAQs and company policies
  • Drive employee onboarding and orientation and further support employees during their time with Staffbase
  • Cooperative collaboration with our external payroll provider and gather accurate payroll data
  • Seek ways to improve workflows and create lean and optimal processes

What you need to be successful

  • Ideally successfully completed apprenticeship or Bachelor’s degree in human resources or other relevant degree 
  • Relevant work experience in a human resources department, ideally in a fast growing environment
  • Strong communication skills in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities while handling day to day tasks
  • Ethical mindset and great interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude and ability to work on your own initiative with energy and enthusiasm
  • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • Good understanding of German HR law
  • Knowledge about German payroll administration
  • Knowledge of HR policies and systems/software
