To strengthen our team at the flagship campus in Berlin, Germany, the following position is available immediately on a full-time basis:

Finance Manager (m/f/d)

Location: Berlin

Role:

Support forecasting, budgeting & cash flow management:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of financial forecasts and budgets.
  • Monitor cash flow projections and provide support in managing liquidity.

Review and analyse financial reports/data:

  • Conduct thorough reviews and analysis of financial reports and data to identify trends, variances, and key insights.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

Manage our Finance Team:

  • Lead and mentor a small team of finance professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance team.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and manage workload distribution to ensure efficiency and productivity.

Oversee & review accounting tasks and compliance:

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Assist management to make financial decisions:

  • Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Offer recommendations based on financial analysis and forecasting.

Advise management on cost-saving & efficiency opportunities:

  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements across the organization.
  • Provide strategic advice to management on optimizing resources and reducing expenses.

Meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment:

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment by effectively managing workload and meeting deadlines.
  • Prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently to ensure timely delivery of financial objectives.

Review payments:

  • Review and approve payments in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial controls.

Supporting operational Finance:

  • Collaborate with operational teams to provide financial support and guidance.
  • Assist in financial analysis related to operational activities and initiatives.

Manage & improve financial IT environment:

  • Oversee the financial IT infrastructure and systems to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements and implement improvements to optimize financial processes.

You

Your Professional Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field required. Master’s degree or CPA preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Proven track record of success in financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
  • Experience in evaluating financial performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategic solutions.
  • Ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Experience in long-term financial planning, capital budgeting, and risk management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and financial reporting standards.

Your Personal Competencies:

  • Communicates effectively with good written and verbal communications skills in English (German is a plus)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
