Senior Product Information Engineer

What is the job about?

This role will be responsible for working around product lifecycle management with a focus on product visualization, entailing data management, standards, governance, and metadata. The ideal candidate will have experience in product life cycle management, data creation, integration, maintenance and data consumption. This role will initially focus on manual data management using tools such as Excel and Access, with plans to later automate processes.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Data management – developing solutions for new areas like product visualization.
  • Collecting information from different teams within own organization and beyond
  • Understanding data handling in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Contributing to product life cycle management and cooperating with other data stewards
  • Contribute to data integration by ensuring that product visualization related data streams are compatible with other data streams.

 

Your background:

  • Ideally holds an MSc in Information Management or Informatics.
  • Excellent understanding of data handling processes.
  • Ability to work autonomously with a self-governing mindset.
  • Few/ couple of years of experience in data management / product lifecycle management.
  • A team player with strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Openness to explore issues that they have never encountered before.
  • Holds a business mindset.
  • Preferred Experience:
  • Relevant experience in software companies, telecommunication, insurance or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Expert knowledge of Ms office set of tools, knowledge on taxonomy, ontology tools is a plus.
  • General data management experience with expertise in Excel.
  • Ensures that the team and company's best interests in mind.
  • This is a remote position with a two-day-per-week work-from-home policy. The successful candidate will be required to travel two to three times a year. If this sounds like a job you would excel at, we would love to hear from you!
