Business Manager Global Transaction Banking Germany (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

  • Investigates strategic and organizational questions to facilitate effective decision making and execution
  • Provides strategic advice to the GTB Germany Leadership Team to improve the daily management of the business
  • Suggests problem resolution approaches and procedures, including procedure maintenance and adaptation as required in close collaboration with Paris HQ
  • Ensures that she/he is always on the same page as the GTB Germany Leadership Team and acts as a liaison for the team priorities and positions in day-to-day activities
  • Facilitates smooth and coordinated cross-functional work
  • Plans and directs all administrative, financial, and operational activities for the business on the behalf of the GTB Leadership Team
  • Acts as a point of contact between the different GTB Teams, other businesses, SG Frankfurt Teams and Paris HQ
  • Coordinates and supervises all regulatory and risk reports as required
  • Regularly submits reports to the GTB Leadership Team including dashboards
  • Ensures GTB Germany compliance with SG Frankfurt rules and policies
  • Ensures respect of GTB Germany governance especially for New Business Committees
  • Steps in as a leader, project manager, and accountable party for key activities as directed by the GTB Germany Leadership Team

Profile required

  • University degree in Finance / Business administration or equivalent
  • Knowledge of German and international Global Transaction Banking Products & Processes
  • Experience of working in a comparable department/role
  • Client oriented attitude (internally and externally)
  • Profound MS Office skills
  • Fluency in German and English (written and oral) is essential, French is of advantage
  • High level of commitment and responsibility

Our Division Global Transaction Banking (GTB) integrates the business activities such as cash management, correspondent banking, international trade finance, factoring and related currency services. These different competencies are offered to financial institutions and companies including multinational corporations as well as large- and medium-sized companies that conduct business internationally.

As part of the GTB Germany Leadership Team the Business Manager is responsible for coordinating all project related tasks, monitoring risks, ensuring the execution of required controls and keeps the leadership team updated on all ongoing topics including incidents and their resolution.
