Purchase Manager

 

Who we are:

NPROXX is a world leader in the design, development and production of type IV pressure vessels for high pressure hydrogen storage. Based on forty years of experience with carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) products and systems in various industries, NPROXX offers carbon fiber tank systems and tailor-made solutions for hydrogen storage applications: transport and stationary storage (up to 1000 bar), heavy-duty traffic (350 bar), automotive (700 bar).

The corporate headquarter of NPROXX is located in Heerlen in the Netherlands and the production facilities and manufacturing site is located in Alsdorf (Germany). NPROXX started out as a spin-off from ETC (Enrichment Technology Company) and is now a 50-50% joint venture between ETC and Cummins Inc.

 

General:

To replace the departure of the current manager, we are looking for a new Purchase Manager in the Purchasing Department, currently consisting of a Senior Buyer and a Purchasing Officer. Primarily for the Heerlen site however there will be regular work at our Alsdorf plant. We would like to get in touch with an experienced professional who recognizes opportunities in the market and knows how to build partnerships with our suppliers. Above all, this person will find pleasure and challenge in working in an international and technical environment.

 

Your tasks:

The main goal is to provide required goods and services on time in full at the optimum price and in line with the regulation, taking all the above tasks and activities in consideration.

• Responsible for the daily purchasing and procurement of BOM goods and services related to the pressure vessels and systems and the Heerlen site.
• Define and drive sourcing strategies and align with internal stakeholders.
• Have end purchase responsibility of all categories and commodities.
• Negotiate terms and conditions, draw up contracts with suppliers on different levels and fields of interest.
• Manager of (legal) purchase contracts.
• Actively follow the material and product markets and define the correct cover strategy to manage price and risks.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and drive continuous cost savings and improvements.
• Develop and manage supplier relation, risks and partnerships.
• Actively support in various new projects to contribute to company’s development and growth.
• Run local / regional tenders and RFQs.
• Reporting on KPIs, price purchasing variance running detailed analysis on budget prices, actual prices, volumes

Your profile:

• Finished Bachelor degree including NEVI I and NEVI II.
• 5+ years purchase experience.
• Strong affinity with the technical industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

 

Reporting line:

You report to the Chief Financial Officer .
