About the role

We are looking for an engaged engineer for the development and maintenance of the test equipment in our Semiconductor Qualification Lab in Hamburg. As an Equipment Engineer, you will be in close collaboration with product quality engineers for testing and qualification of our products as per the latest standards and methods on over 100 advanced test systems. In addition, the role also involves providing support for the entire lab environment and operators.

What you will do

  • Hardware/Software/Embedded development
  • Systems setup, preparation, and execution of the electrical and mechanical tests
  • Test definition, method optimization, and training of the operators
  • Service, maintenance, and improvement of the test systems
  • Study/Investigation of the latest products and methods as per the test requirements
  • Market investigation, supplier selection, and technical discussion with suppliers
  • Ensure the compliance of the equipment with internal/ national/ international standards and certifications (technical, environmental, safety, etc.)
  • Preparation, revision, and maintenance of the system and workflow documents
  • Study of performance, capacity, and measurement accuracy for improvement
  • FMEA, root cause analysis, and statistical analysis of the systems and test results

What you will need

  • University degree in electrical, mechanical, or other similar engineering disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience based on educational credentials
  • Experience with characterization and reliability test systems
  • Understanding of industry quality standards and vocabulary (AEC-Q101)
  • Time and task management skills
  • Communication and documentation skills
  • Hardware/ Software/ Embedded design experience
  • Quality mindset and attention to detail with an analytical approach
  • Proficiency in German and English language
