We are looking for a Transformation Manager reporting to the Chief Regions and Markets Officer, (m/f/d), based in Munich.

Your Team 

As part of the Allianz Commercial Legal Global Insurance Law team, you will assist the Regional Head Legal & Compliance CMRO 1 / Head of Insurance Law in dealing with insurance and supervisory law topics to design, implement and maintain business procedures and processes within Allianz Commercial and support the coordination of insurance law activities at Allianz Commercial globally. 

The Impact You Will Have 
You will enable to set up the overall philosophy and strategy of the company with respect to matters of insurance and supervisory law and ensure that all company practices, policies, and operations are in line with legal requirements. Your work will involve handling and solving strategically important projects with cross-border exposure and requires excellent legal knowledge and a pronounced affinity and willingness to deal with foreign laws and jurisdictions.                                     

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Research and address legal issues in the areas of insurance contract law, insurance supervisory law, intermediary law, general contract law, conflict of law rules and European laws.
• Provide legal advice to the management, executives and employees of the global functions and local units of Allianz Commercial worldwide on all lines of business (Aviation, Cyber, Entertainment, Financial Lines, Liability, Natural Resources & Construction, Marine and Property), Distribution and Multinational including the analysis of legal issues and developing and evaluating solutions in German and English language.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents in various areas of law, in particular insurance and reinsurance wordings in all business lines and other types of commercial and service contracts, including contract negotiations with internal and external clients in German and English language.
• Provide advice on strategic sales projects, cooperations and digitization projects.
• Provide advice on cross-border insurance of risks abroad and support the regular updating of our International Licensing Guide.
• Develop strategic positions on legal topics jointly with our colleagues of various Allianz Commercial locations worldwide. 
• Participate in the conception, planning and performance of training courses and information events.
• Oversee and steer external legal counsel, where applicable.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

• Completed studies in law; 1st and 2nd German State exams fully qualified lawyer
• English: Business fluent
• Enjoy challenging legal work and negotiations
• Ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in an understandable way
• Strong team-work skills and intercultural experience
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Organized and process driven, with the ability to work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• At least 5 years of professional experience in industrial insurance or a law firm, ideally with knowledge in the described areas of responsibility
