Head of Finance, Controlling & Commercial Management (m/f/d)

We are looking for a highly qualified Business Controller for Atlas Copco Energas. You will be responsible for the Business Controlling (including Business Processes), Credit Control Policy & Management, Project Controlling and compliance with Financial and Tax legislation. On top you will oversee some of the IT functions mostly provided by Atlas Copco Business Services. You will be one of the key members of the Atlas Copco Energas Management Team and will analyse, support and develop the business as right hand of the GM in line with the company’s goals and strategy. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager of Energas in line with divisional and Atlas Copco guidelines.

Your mission

Primary mission is an overall business result improvement through business analysis, improved control and guidance to the Product Company’s management team to achieve the requested financial and business results. This includes forecasting, the handling of risk management/asessment and providing support to the General Manager and his team. Ensuring that the company is in line with processes and procedures of the Division, Atlas Copco (FAM) as well as Financial law and tax legislation.

Inspiring - Your future responsibilities

• Prepare and provide accurate, timely and legally compliant group financial reports and analyzes financial KPI’s and scorecards to support the management team with business decisions.
• Sustain and further develop solid internal control environment to protect the company's assets, and to ensure that financial reporting and accounting matters are in accordance with the company's and statutory accounting practices.
• Take care of the legal, statutory and tax requirements of the company.
• Be proactive and ensure that right priorities are applied within the areas of financial reporting and compliance. Ensure that corrective action plans are defined where necessary and maintain open communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure and review cost allocations among the departments/Business Lines
• Establish and monitor product company overhead rates
• Review and analysis of actual product costs versus estimates
• Preparation of Business Review Meetings & Company Review Meetings and follow up of company and divisional objectives, projects and expectation
• Recommendation and implementation of internal control improvements
• Actively support cost reduction and efficiency improvement activities with the help and development of digital tools/automation and reports
• Business process improvements both for Finance and Export (OtC)
• Comply with Safety Rules, Regulations and OSHA Requirements
• Special projects as directed by the General Manager
• Maintaining a close working relationship within the CT Divisions
• Assist Divisional Controller with Divisional projects as needed
• Collaborate with Entity Controllers to streamline financial projects and tools
• Partner with the General Manager on all aspects of the business

What you bring with you

• University degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent through experience

• Several years of experience working in finance and/or Business Control and Atlas Copco reporting according to FAM, especially in a product company environment is an asset

• Experience in Project and Product Cost Controlling in an Engineered Product environment is also an asset

• Proven leadership skills in coaching others in business control and risk management

• Knowledge of “The Way” – Finance/Controlling/Accounting

• Microsoft Office, Hyperion, SAP, GPS and BW

• Fluent in German and English

• Ability to work under tight time constraints

• Excellent communication skills

• Self-motivated

• Able to work in a team environment

• Knowledge of IFRS is needed, preferably also GAAP / HGB
