Student assistant (f/m/d) in the field of laser beam welding

Fraunhofer ILT is one of Europe's leading centres for basic and contract research in the field of laser technology. In our Joining of Metals department, we focus on all aspects of laser welding of metals. A current focus of our work is in the field of electromobility, both in relation to the welding processes in battery production and to the components of the electric drive.

What you will do

Collaboration in current research and industrial projects for prototype production
Participation in the planning, design and realisation of tests
Analysing and documenting test results using various methods, e.g. metallography, 3D scanning

What you bring to the table

You are studying mechanical engineering, materials science, automation technology, electrical engineering, another engineering science or physics
Interest in solving technical problems
Motivated, independent and structured way of working

The weekly working time is 14 hours.
The position is initially limited to 6 months, after which a longer term is also possible.
Remuneration is based on the general works agreement on the employment of auxiliary staff.
