The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (www.fraunhofer.com) currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions throughout Germany and is the world’s leading applied research organization. Around 30 000 employees work with an annual research budget of 2.9 billion euros. There is a need for urban planning approaches that enable an integrated, quantitative and scientific representation of the urban climate. Our group integrates computational models and machine learning to study urban microclimate and support urban planning. This work aims to conduct a parametric study of wind and temperature in urban areas, with a focus on developing advanced AI models to replace CFD simulations.
